The BRS has no individual members and therefore does not receive income from membership fees. We rely on income from our annual conference and donations to raise sufficient funds to meet our running costs.
Where does the money go?
BRS funds are used to meet the costs of the following: organising the annual conference, running the organisation, secretariat, council and committee meetings. The BRS also commissions projects such as the workforce survey for the benefit of the renal community. When funds allow the BRS also contributes to the funding of research grants. We are very grateful to the British Kidney Patient Association for working with us to fund all research grants awarded by the BRS since 2010.
